KEYNOTE SPEAKER H. MORROW LONG
H. Morrow Long (CISSP, CISM, CEH) is the University Information Security Officer, Director of the Information Security Office and DMCA Notification Agent for Yale University. He has been with Yale University for the past 21 years, participating in many campus and IT projects H. Morrow Long is a Visiting Scientist with the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute's in the CERT/Networked Systems Survivability group. Mr. Long holds a B.S. in Communications from the Boston University School of Communication (1981) and a M.S. C.I.S. (Computing and Information Systems) from the University of New Haven (1986) as well as CISSP, CISM and CEH certification.
DR. JIM THIMONS
Dr. Thimons is 1978 graduate of OSU College of Optometry. He has served as service chief, VA Medical Center Chillicothe; Center Director Omni Eye Services Fairfax, Virginia,; Department Chairman,& Director, Glaucoma Institute SUNY College of Optometry and Medical Director of Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at both NECO & PCO.
DR. SCOT MORRIS
Dr. Morris received his doctorate of optometry at Indiana University School of Optometry in 1996. He then completed a residency in ocular disease at Triad Eye Medical Clinic in association with NSU School of Optometry in Tulsa, OK. Currently, he serves as the medical director of Eye Consultants of Colorado. He is also the operating partner of Morris Education & Consulting Associates, LLC, a full-service practice management and clinical education consulting firm.
DR. JOHN MCGREAL
Dr. McGreal is a graduate of Albright College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is in private practice at the Missouri Eye Associates, a medical-surgical consultation center.
He has lectured nationally and internationally for over twenty years on topics ranging from clinical care to compliance/coding. He has authored many articles and book chapters.
He founded McGreal Educational Institute, which provides consulting services to practitioners and industry. He was a Peters Memorial Lecturer at University of California, Nussenblatt Memorial Lecturer at University of Houston, Missouri Optometrist of the Year and University of Missouri Educator of the Year.
DR. MARK WRIGHT
In 1980, Dr. Wright purchased a satellite office that was open two half days a week and created Professional Vision Care which became a 9 doctor, three location, full scope optometric practice. Additionally, he is the faculty coordinator for the Bennett/VSP Business Management Program at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Wright was the 2005-2006 Benedict Visiting Professor for the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Wright is the President of Pathways to Success - Optometrists, an internet based practice management consulting company for optometrists.
DR. DAVE ZIEGLER
A 1981 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. Dave Ziegler, OD is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the senior partner in a group private practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A member of Essilor's advisory panel he is also an associate clinical professor to the Southern College of Optometry and Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Ziegler has published and lectured on a variety of topics ranging from peripheral retinal disease, contact lenses, and practice management. He also serves as the team optometrist for number of sports teams including the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Wave Soccer Team, and the NBA Milwaukee Bucks.
DR. GRAHAM ERICKSON
A graduate of Pacific University and Assistant Professor of Behavioral Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry. Serves on the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Institute World Wide Performance Vision team. Frequent lecturer on Behavioral Optometry, Sports Vision and Practice Management. Author of recently published authoritative text “Sports Vision: Vision Care for the Enhancement of Sports Performance”.
DR. DON TEIG - Event Coordinator
Dr. Teig is the senior partner in a multimillion dollar four doctor practice in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
He is a past Benedict Distinguished Visiting Professor in Practice Management at the University of Houston College of Optometry and the Senior Consultant to The Vistakon “Sweet Sixteen” Performance Team for the Beijing Olympics as well as the New York Yankees.
Dr. Teig is the founder and president of Ultimate Events, LLC, the parent company for The Ultimate Practice Management Conference
